David A.W. Hittle is seeking election to the Jefferson County Public School's School Board from District 5. That area includes some parts of Valley Station, some parts of Fairdale, and parts of the Iroquois area.
David is the former President of the Valley High School Alumni association. During his time with the alumni association, David was also the Secretary, Webmaster and Parliamentarian.
Born and raised in Louisville, David lived in a home on Pierce Way; attended Medora Elementary, Stuart Middle, and graduated fromValley High School with honors. David began his college career at Jefferson Community College, where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Arts. David ultimately graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor's in Political Science.
David has worked for his grand father for well over ten years as a consultant. David has also worked for various political campaigns including: KY House, KY District Court, U.S. House and U.S. Presidential campaigns.
David is frightened at the ability of the JCPS School Board to raise taxes by up to four percent (4%) without any regulation.
David supports Civic Education, and wants to see the students of Jefferson County involved in politics and understanding what it means to live in a free society.
David supports Neighborhood Schools, spending $68 MILLION a year to bus a child an average of thirty minutes is wrong and does not foster educational success.
